Facts About The Olympics

Today i'm going to show you a piece of work my class and I did about the Olympics.

Oh and if you didn't know NZ won around 16 medals

Fun fact-about my  work - the background on my work are the colours of the Olympic rings - but there not in order 

the colour are Red, Green, Black, Blue and yellow

2020 Tokyo Olympics fanzone trip

Today the senior classes went to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics fan zone. When we got to the Tokyo Olympics fan zone all the classes sat down on a green mat, then a Olympian named Debbie Tanner talked to us about herself. Then we asked her some questions like how did it feel to become a Olympian, then the senior classes got split into groups of two. My group first went to the Olympic fan zone  and the other group went to the races. After a little bit both of the groups had to swapped activity's. When we finished all the activity's  all the senior classes had to take a photo. After the photo everyone watched the Olympics on the big screen then we had to go back to school.

The Wonder Project-Week 6 Final Blast Off

 On Tuesday my class and I did a test launch for our rockets that we made. Before we test launched our rockets we had to measure 350 mills of water than all the senior classes gathered in room nine. We watched a video about about Newton's third Lew. It was about reaction and action, after that two students from each class had to grab a balloon each the two students from each class had to blow the balloon one class blow there medium and another class blow the balloon small and the last class had to blow there balloon higher than the others, than we looked at who's balloon went higher. Than the senior classes went back to class and had to grab there staff that we went on the field to test launch our rockets. Before we test launched our rockets we had to put our safety gear on than we had to test launch.

Wonder project-week 5 aerodynamics pt 2

today me and my class was working on aerodynamics.First we needed to grab our rockets that we made then we grabbed a piece of string, with that piece of string we had to tie the piece of string to the rocket,then we had to put the string in the right place so that the rocket would balance after that we traced our rockets on to some cardboard then we had to cut it out when we cut out the cardboard we had to balance it with a ruler then we were finished.

The Wonder Project

Today  me and my class worked on our rockets. before we made our rockets we made paper planes.
We made different paper planes to see what planes would go far. After that we went to class and made our rockets. Before we put the nose on the rocket we decorated the body of the rocket When we finished decorating the body of the rocket we taped the nose on to the rocket. After that we cut some fins out of cardboard then we started decorating the fins. When we finished  decorating all the fins we taped the fins on to the body part of the rocket. Now the rocket is finished.

Making amazing pinch pots

today me and my class had so much fun making pinch pots.

i found it a little hard to make but i got through it.

so today i will be sharing how to make pinch pots.

here is how you make pinch pots.

1. first you need some clay.

2. then you need to soften up the clay

3. after that you need to roll your clay in to a ball and make sure if it goes a bit hard put some water on your finger rube some on the clay.

4.once you finish that then you can shape your clay in to a pot.

5. make sure there is no cracks.

6. wait for your pinch pots to go hard then your done.

making amazing soy candles

today me and my class did beautiful soy candles. today i will be sharing some cool photos we took of us and the soy candles.

heres the photos we took.

1. we boiled some water in a pot

2. we put 200 grams of wax

heres how we made theme.                                             

 

3.then we mixed the wax in the pot

4. then we put the little wix in the polycarb tealight holder

5. then we poured the melted wax in 2 a pouring jars 

6. after that we poured the melted wax in to little polycarb tealight holders.

7. then we waited for the candles to go hard

8. after that we just touched the tip of the wax to see if it was ready

9.we made sure that our wax was hard and then we were finished.

 

                      

SLJ practice week 1 day 1 2019.

Today me and my class started the SLJ. it was a practice though.

heres what we had to do.

      Imagine that you were invited to join Nainoa for three weeks at sea. You are asked to pack your own food. List 10 food items that you could take on the trip. Remember you will not have a fridge or freezer!

Film Festival

 Hello blogger, 

Here is a reflection about the Ako Hiko Film Festival that we did during term 3. 

How did you feel about the film making process and why

I found making fims was fun because it was i was fun to film with my friends.

What did you enjoy?having fun

What did you learn?i learnt that if you're making a film then you have to plan it first.

What was challenging?getting the film done in time.

If you could go back in time to the beginning of the term, what would you do differently?looking after people that get hort. 

What advice would you give to someone creating a film next year?make sure that you plan your film with you’r group.
